Day two. Unpacking

It's finally morning, it's time to get up , yak up the cat hair and take the rest of the hundred ridiculously heavy boxes out to the U-haul, hop in it, drive 60 miles to the other side of town and unload it.   Of course my husband has to work today.
This leaves me and my 90 year old mother to unload an entire U-haul and fit all it's contents into 1 bedroom all by ourselves
Now like most 90 year old mothers mine is a pack rat..  Even tho we had many conversations about what to pack and what not to pack she's brought everything but the kitchen sink.. and I really think if the apartment complex would have let her take it she would have..

Well we're ready to go.. we've managed to avoid the creepy girl.. . and her boyfriend,   we've left the cats with 3 litter boxes, 2 giant mixing bowls full of Little Friskies and a bathtub full of water..
I think they'll be OK for  a week??? My mother is not so sure..??  We decide to get the neighbor girl to look after them and after leaving her a long list of Do's and Don'ts we're off.

Driving a U-haul is also way over-rated..
 # 1 I'm no moving man.. and packing a truck is an art..making sure things dont shift going around corners , slamming on the brakes on the freeway etc.. I am expecting a pile of rubble when I open this truck..
# 2 riding in a clunkty U-Haul with my mother for 60 miles is also highly over-rated.

Finally we arrive at my house.  It's time to unload the truck.  My neighbors must be wondering what the heck is going on.  It's now been  2  days since I've had a shower or washed my hair.. or changed my underwear.. Actually my hair looks pretty good. ahahha

I open the truck and miraculously it's not a pile of rubble..  just a cloud of cat hair. Where's the vacum..  ???

Well no sense putting it off or whining..  this truck has to be unloaded .. and I'm it. 

So after about 5 hours, lifting,  grunting ,groaning and some serious swearing, the truck is finally unloaded and now my house looks like a resthome exploded in the living room.  All that's left in the truck is a giant TV and an incredibly heavy box of books.   About this  time my husband drives up..  top down , radio blaring, pulls up and says..  Well that wasn't so bad was it?  ( I want to hit him. but I'm too tired..)
We return the U-Haul and make my mothers bed and take a Vicodin and fall into bed.

this is  only day 2.?? Still no shower.  ewwww..

February the little month with alot happening.

So I'm sleeping in a twin bed with my 90 year old mother and 2 cats.  The thermostat is  turned up to 90, I'm having a hot flash and it's 3 in the morning.  We have a U-Haul truck half packed in the parking lot and a creepy girl and her boyfriend lurking outside. Tomorrow is a big day.. we are driving the U-haul 60 miles to my house unpacking it and returning it ... Yes all in 1 day.. and by myself.   Aleve.. is way over-rated.

This all started back in December when my daughter decided to move across town and in with me and my new husband Howard.   Sounds simple enough Right?   Well,  since my daughter had recently broke up with her boyfriend she didn't seem to mind too much being an hour away from her former life.

Guess what.???  a week before she started college ,,  you got it..  she made up with the boyfriend.. Now her college classes were already paid for and she was enrolled and starting school in less than a week..  Moving across town means a hour drive...  they decided to have a " long distance relationship"  even tho their main form of communication is texting...  it is a realationship..??  Allright maybe that's a safe way to have  a relationship. ( no fighting in  person)..  Maybe if my first 2 marrriags and been " text " marriages they might have turned out better.. lol
 This is only day 1.
